Local inventor's patented idea goes to market- Chuck Poe - Poly Carbon Industries in Athens, Tennessee - developed a patent on his idea for "shock absorption" back in 2007. The idea came about after a gel insole company moved the manufacturing of their insoles from Chuck's Tru-Form company in Athens to China. Chuck set out to develop a system for energy management called the Triangulated Energy Management System. The TEM system utilizes a triangular shaped absorption system within the gel products to disperse the energy from the source into vectors. What better application of this system than in shoe insoles. Bacon Products - Chattanooga, Tennessee will be packaging Poly Carbon's insoles under the name of Eagle All American Insoles. Bacon Products will distribute these insoles into 500 retail stores across the southern United States. Many of these retail stores will be the smaller "mom and pop" stores who want to carry American made products.
Chuck and Poly Carbon has plans to move forward with more insoles. Chuck also is working on other products to make them better for our customers. These products will be found in retail stores across America in the sporting goods and health and fitness section.
